Platylophus galericulatus

The crested jay (Platylophus galericulatus) is a species of bird traditionally placed in the family Corvidae but which might belong to the helmetshrikes; the 2019 eBird/Clements list places the Crested Jay (Crested Shrikejay) in its own family, the Platylophidae. It is monotypic within the genus Platylophus

and is found in Brunei, Indonesia, Malaysia, Myanmar, and Thailand.

Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical moist lowland forest and subtropical or tropical moist montane forest.

It is threatened by habitat loss.
